A clear intermediary role

Verdant Link Sourcing connects the purchasing questions

Our purpose is to make a forage equipment request understandable to the buyer and the quoting manufacturer. The starting point is a documented requirement, not a claim about owning factories or holding stock.

Agricultural procurement brief reviewed on a desk

Why the scope comes before the quote

A dairy operator may describe a forage machine by crop, a distributor by equipment form, and a manufacturer by configuration. Those descriptions can sound similar while specifying different work. We use the inquiry to connect crop and throughput basis with working width or capacity, power and interface, moisture or handling target, wear parts and service documents, quantity and US destination.

The purchasing record should show what is known, what is assumed and who still needs to confirm it.

This is our service principle, not a customer testimonial. A blank field should remain an open question until someone responsible answers it. Supplier matching means requesting replies against the same brief and identifying differences; it does not mean a supplier has already passed an audit or that a catalog entry is available for immediate shipment.

A

Buyer context

Crop conditions, host equipment and the harvest calendar determine which questions belong in the RFQ.

B

Traceable replies

Keep a named configuration and document revision beside the commercial offer.

C

Visible exclusions

List freight, wear kits, commissioning and training that a quote leaves open.

D

Purchase choice

The buyer chooses the offer after reviewing its technical and commercial boundaries.

Support arrangements belong in the decision

Consider a distributor preparing machines for farms with different tractor fleets. The purchasing exercise should collect PTO horsepower and hydraulic information for each host, keep incompatible alternatives apart, and ask for parts diagrams before comparing package prices. This is an illustrative procurement situation, not a completed project or a performance result.

Support availability, compatibility and the seasonal delivery window need individual confirmation. A premium preference can prioritize documentation and configuration flexibility; a budget-friendly preference may narrow optional equipment. Neither preference substitutes for acceptance checks. Our service scope explains how those questions enter the comparison.

Start with the brief you have

A complete specification is helpful but not mandatory to start. Describe the unresolved choices, intended use and target delivery point so the next discussion can identify the documents and measurements still needed.
